For those old to this blog you will know what the post blog part is all about and for those new to the blog Welcome, Hello! Hey there! Hi! thanks for taking that leap and pressing that button!
OK! SO! ‘The Post Blog’ category is all about me designing a limited edition of only 20 postcards, 4 designs, each design is sent out to 5 different people around the world. They all follow a theme of ‘What If..!’ Which is about me in a sense, re-imagining existing beings/things and discovering what if in reality it was different. Nice huh!? The 4 designs at the top belong to the 3rd and recent batch. Now with them, all that is left to do is get them printed, ‘Still!? But you said that ages ago!’ … I know, I hear that!.. I’m so behind. I will print them soon!! Then write a random message on the back, and have them fly through the postal system once more! The second batch is the middle and the first one is the last. I think it’s safe to say for me I like to think they’re getting better 😉 Well I appreciate all your likes and comments! Feel free to follow again twitter – @daltonsart or Instagram for process shots of future work @daltonsart
Yo! My 3rd batch of ‘What If…?’ postcards is now complete with this last image! Can I get a –> Whoop!! Whoop!! I need to get them printed out still before I start sending them out to strangers. So in the meantime why not Kick back – Relax – Let the rapping budgie show you a few beats! Oh and why not follow me on twitter or Instagram to get updates! and painting process!
SO!! Towards the end of 2012, I managed to send out most of my postcards. YAY ME! This blog post is for all my special followers, so you! Yes you! and I guess myself! as evidence, that all the hours, effort, paint, paper, blood, sweat, and all that jazz! put in does prove to have results. I have 6 more left to write a personalised message on, draw a random address on the postcrossing site and send off flying through the postal system one last time!! BUT!! For the cards that have already been sent out to a bunch of extremely random lucky strangers!! have expressed lovely words that I really appreciate and below are just a few…..
Hurray! GB-374142 to Finland has arrived! ”Hi Annie! Terve & привет (privet)! It was such a delight to receive your quirky, but stunning postcard! Thanks a lot for it! This imperturbable rabbit with human feet definitely put a broad smile on my face!”
Hurray! GB-374147 to United States of America has arrived! “Thank you for this awesome card Annie !!! I am actually very proud to own this special card. Thank you very very much ! Merci :)”
Hurray! GB-374146 to the Netherlands has arrived! ”Hello Annie, thanks so much – it’s a lovely card and your own design! Really beautiful. Good luck with your drawings, we need people like you in the world big time! F.”
Hurray! GB-374141 to Germany has arrived! “Dear Annie! I was so glad as I received your postcard! I couldn’t believe that it is you own design! It is wonderful and I’m happy that I am one of five persons who will ever get it! 🙂 Tank you very much!” 🙂 🙂 🙂
Well…There we have it!! I love post ha!! 😀
Part of the postcrossing experience, is that for every postcard you send, you will receive one back from another random person anywhere in the world. As you can imagine, I have a bit of a wonderful collection growing! so I have uploaded, not all! but some of my favourites (click for details)….You’re not obliged to look, but if you do I hope you enjoy!! 🙂
Just another random thought that has been progressed into a sketch!! yeeeah! So I’m slowly getting on with another batch of ‘what if…?’ designed postcards, may take a little longer than the last as I want to produce the artwork at a bigger scale. Well anyway here we have ‘What if…Tigers had antlers?’ Idea in initial stages. I wont post the finished painting until I have all four completed however watch this space for more sketches… OOOhhh Yeaaaah!! 🙂
Just to prove that this post blog thing is working. I have copied over some comments from the previous postblog of the owners of my postcards who live around the world. 🙂

Did you get my previous comment? The spam-stopping nazi crazy words goofed me up – they are sometimes impossible, aren’t they? Maybe I need bifocals.
I received the cute sharks today in the mail and LOVE them! Thank you thank you! I think if sharks had arms they would totally give out big hugs to potential human prey instead of big bites. Or maybe they’d be able to hold on better as they gnaw away?
Go visit the cute sharks on my blog too!!
Have fun, Angie from Ohio, USA

Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to announce that after a little mishap with printing, my postcards are finished! Will they reach the unfamiliar persons? One can only hope. In the meantime it is a waiting game, a game I shall happily play.
